Watching your kids grow up is such a strange and beautiful thing. One minute you’re tying their shoes and packing snacks, and the next you’re photographing them getting ready for prom with their closest friends.

Gabi’s prom night was filled with everything I hoped it would be laughter, excitement, confidence, friendship, and that kind of joy you can actually feel through the photos. The girls looked absolutely stunning against the soft spring greens and mountain views here in Stowe. From the dreamy pastel dresses to the bold pops of color, every detail felt effortlessly beautiful.

What I loved most about this evening wasn’t just how gorgeous everyone looked, but how connected they all were. The giggles between poses, the barefoot moments in the grass, the dancing and twirling, the helping each other fix straps and hair — it all felt so genuine and full of life. These friendships and memories are the kind they’ll remember forever.

As a photographer, I’m always documenting milestones for other families, but getting to step back and capture this season for my own daughter felt especially meaningful. Seeing Gabi so happy, confident, and surrounded by such kind friends made my mama heart incredibly full.
