Some sessions just glow, and Sayler's was one of them. We met up at Pinnacle Meadow in Stowe right at peak foliage, and the evening light did everything I hoped it would. The meadow went gold and the maples turned orange behind her. The mountains faded into soft blue layers in the distance.
Meet Sayler
Sayler is a senior at Peoples Academy in Morrisville, and she's not easing into it. She's taking college courses alongside her senior year classes, which is no small thing. Her sights are set on the University of Rhode Island next fall, and I have no doubt she'll get there. URI, you're lucky!
From the trail to the meadow
We started on the wooded trail, with her jean jacket thrown over a white dress and the leaves crunching underfoot. Then we wandered out into the open meadow, where the tall grass was glowing in the last of the sun. A few portraits up on the rocks with the mountains behind her, a handful of wildflowers, and one quiet walk back down the path, and we had a gallery full of favorites.
Sayler was so easy to photograph. She was relaxed, a little playful, and totally herself, and that's what makes senior photos feel like you instead of a yearbook picture.
Sayler, congratulations on your senior year! I can't wait to see where it takes you.
